TITLE OF POST: PROJECT OFFICER ? SALT
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Irish and British Red Cross, in partnership, are seeking a
suitably experienced project officer to play a lead role in the
development of a geographically based emergency response case study
which will provide communities on both sides of the border access to
community led, voluntary driven services and supports during an
identified emergency.
It is intended that the development of a harmonised model of delivery
in the identified geographical catchment area will be replicated
across the border county areas. The identification of such a model
will seek to:
* Put in place appropriate emergency response structures and
processes across their respective border areas.
* Explore how the template for delivery identified could be
integrated into the delivery of other existing and emerging services
in the border counties.
This project aims to capture and share learning from this case study
so that it can be used to stimulate both further investment and shared
policy positions regarding the development and sustainability of the
collaborative service delivery model being advocated.
The project officer will be responsible for coordinating and
researching a prospective model of delivery in a specified
geographical catchment area and for delivering a case study in its
entirety as described above and in consultation with the project
partners, with key responsibilities set out under ?Key tasks? in
the role description attached below.
